Getting Better (All The Time)

“Me used to be angry young man

Me hiding me head in the sand

You gave me the word, I finally heard

I’m doing the best that I can.”

-Lennon/McCartney

Good afternoon,

Kinda like the idea of song titles and quotes to begin each post. Especially if I can find one that fits my mood, which shouldn’t be too hard, right?

What does seem to be hard is writing this post, so I’m going to just start writing. Didn’t get a great night of sleep, but it doesn’t seem to have affected my mood. Counseling session went well and he agreed to keep it every other week. Now interestingly when discussing my near break down last weekend he said next time to try tapping on my chest to calm myself.

Ironically this is something the healer at the Ren Faire mentioned to me as a way to calm myself when I felt myself being triggered. She even went as far as to write down the gentleman's name and the name of the program (of course I lost the paper). But I remember that I subscribed to it on YouTube, so I am going to have to take a deeper look at it. If it helps, it helps. He also offered snapping a rubber band on my wrist any time I feel the anxiety building from being around large crowds.

It really is a shame, because I miss live music so much. Luckily this past summer I was able to hear some at the local Biergarten. Small crowd, and spread out is just my style. Add in good food and beer and I’m a happy camper. But it’s starting to get colder, so I’m going to have to get used to being in closer quarters in doors. I’m going to rely on my crystals, incense and Mary Jane to keep me calm.

Oh and don’t worry I didn’t forget to meditate this morning. I did it right after my counseling session. It was important to me to keep that going. I may need to put my phone on airplane mode while I’m doing it, because today I was interrupted by a phone call. Thankfully I was able to drop right back in after declining the call. Went back to an old faithful this morning and did the Chakra Balancing one I had done before. I always feel refreshed afterwards.

Thanks for the comments, I appreciate you taking the time to read this. Have a good one!
