Feel’n Alright
Good Afternoon,
How is everything my friends? For me they are going well. I am feeling pretty good. Still waking up before the alarm no matter what time I set the damn thing. Not sure if I mentioned this before, but I stopped sleeping with my Apple Watch and I truly do think I am sleeping better. I do miss not having it during the day, I keep looking at my arm for the time. Plus it unlocks my phone when I am wearing a mask. Haha!
Today was Day 7 of the Insight Timers Beginners Guide to Meditation and I am proud to say I did it. Adding in the days before I found the Beginners Guide I have probably meditated for 10 or 11 days. I can in all honesty say I am starting to notice a difference.
Take today for instance, I normally wait until my girls are off to school and the house is quiet before I start meditating. Today I was excited to finish the course, so I couldn’t wait. I started before one of them left and I heard her getting ready during my session. In the past this would have been a trigger and I would have let it ruin my whole day, but I didn’t. I stayed with the meditation, oh I was fully aware of what was going on around me, but it did not disturb my Zen.
The down side to finishing the course is now I have to find another guided meditation to add into my spiritual tool bag. Tomorrow I will go back and do the chakra balancing meditation I was doing before finding Insight Timer. If you haven’t downloaded it yet, I highly recommend it.
I’ve moved on to another Crystal Healing course. My third one to be exact. Shaw Academy everything was going fine and then all of a sudden the videos “aren't available” anymore. I think I was going to fast for them so they wanted to slow me down. So I cancelled that subscription. Then I went to something called Evolve Healing and they only release one week at a time, even though you pay for the month upfront. Plus they also “recommended” I purchase crystals from them, which wouldn’t get to me for 2-4 weeks and cost close to $600. Yowza!!
Waiting for one of my papers to be reviewed in my creative writing course. Then I’ll be able to move onto Week #9. I’m certainly getting my money’s worth with that class. I haven’t been actively writing for NANOWRIMO, but I’ve come pretty close. What the hell is NANOWRIMO? November is National Novel Writing Month. Where writers all over the world try to spur their creativity by setting a goal to write a certain amount of words a day. Thankfully due to the writing course and this blog, I’ve been averaging about 1500 words a day and I have some serious frame work for 5 chapters so far. Which is the furthest I have ever gone with my writing. I usually lose interest. Not this time!
